Young Drivers wanted for a visit to New Hampshire
The Carriage Barn Equestrian Centre in New Hampshire, USA has invited the BDS to nominate two competent young British Whips to spend 10-14 days at their Centre, completely free of charge. They will also arrange sponsorship for the air fares. Only personal spending money would be needed.
Approximate age group is 17 - 22 years and those going would be asked to share their knowledge with younger children in workshops or talk about their experiences with carriage driving. They should have a knowledge of single and pair driving as well as turnout, stable management and horse care.
Carriage Barn have great facilities, about 30 horses, and a lot of young people working there. They intend taking the visiting Whips to shows or competitions as part of their visit.
The BDS are inviting applications from young Whips who are of BDS Intermediate Competence and have experience of pairs.
