OSBORNE REFRIGERATORS TO SPONSOR BDS PRIVATE DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2002

Osborne Refrigerators Ltd. are to sponsor the 2002 BDS Private Driving Championships. Over 100 qualifiers will take place throughout the season with the finals culminating at their traditional home at Burghley Horse Trials on 1st September 2002. The Championships will become known as the Osborne Refrigerators BDS Championships.

For more than 20 years the distinctive Osborne Refrigerators triangular logo has been associated with a wide spectrum of equestrian sport including driving, showing and showjumping, but this is the first time that the company has supported private driving. Managing Director Jeff Osborne and his wife Sally not only support equestrianism through their sponsorship, they also take an active role as judges, owners and competitors. Jeff has a particular interest in scurry driving in which he competes with his three pairs of scurry ponies. "We are delighted to become involved with this, the most prestigious outdoor private driving series, and would like to take this opportunity to wish every competitor a happy and successful season" Jeff said.

BDS Chairman, John Parker said "I have known Jeff and Sally a long time. As sponsors, Osborne Refrigerators have probably the longest association with the horse world and we are delighted that they have extended this support to include private driving."
