CENTRE 10 a.m - SCHOOLING THE DRIVING HORSE – with Caroline Douglas DRIVEN DRESSAGE EXPLAINED – with Di Hayes & her hackney concluding with a pas de deux with Paul Sidwell and his hackney PUTTING A TANDEM TOGETHER WITH IMPROVISED HARNESS – with Sophie Adkins and Caroline Douglas 11.30 a.m - THE TRADITIONS OF COACHING DISPLAY – John Carter and his team with a Coach Horn demo by George Abbott ADVICE ON HOW TO DRESS FOR THE SHOW RING & DRESSAGE – driver and groom with Penny Richmond Together with Nick and Jane Wood on furnishings for the ring. 12.30 p.m SCURRY DRIVING – Enlightening demo with John Marson JUNIOR HDT turnout with Ellie Royle – cones instruction by Di Hayes LE TREC DRIVING a short talk with Linda Swain – 1.30 p.m LIGHT TRADE TURNOUT – discussing the requirements and traditions and what the judge is looking for. 2.p.m SHOWING MASTERCLASS – a selection of different turnouts – Horse pair with Christine van Reen These turnouts will be judged with audience participation followed by two BDS judges Minta Winn & Deborah Holt Atkinson giving their constructive opinions & Sarah Needham talking on the vehicles forward. Also: John McDonald – collar maker, Kevin Stillwell and Dennis Walmsley - Whip making, Mr. Garner - Wheelwright. Finish 4 p.m. |
