Travel from Aberdeen direction – to arrive between 10.30 and 12noon
At Aboyne – left turn just before the `Green – Games field`
Proceed past the Boat Inn on the right, and turn left over the River Dee
Turn right and proceed up river for about 1 mile
Before the bridge at the main entrance to the estate, turn left -look out for BDS Sign!
The track is narrow and passing is difficult so please arrive within the above time slot when the ranger has kept the track clear of on- coming traffic.
Follow this forestry track for about 2 miles.
Do not take any turnings off to the left – it will be arrowed
This takes you to the parking field on the right near St Lesmos chapel
There will be no toilet facilities available, so please bring your own. Feel free to bring your own picnic. All rubbish must be taken home including any horse muck and hay from around the parking field. Please bring your own equipment to deal with this.

Departure from the event is between 4-5 pm when the ranger will keep the track open for us again.
