Elinor started driving Shetland ponies at the age of 10, with family friend, and one of the UKs top Shetland pony breeders and owner of Clothie Shetland Pony stud, the late Marie Brooker. Elinor took on the stud when Marie sadly passed away. She has produced many top ponies over the years, probably the most well-known pony is the mascot for the Regiment of Scotland, Corporal Cruchan IV- originally known as Clothie Nyggle. She has had numerous successes with her ponies in their ridden careers at Olympia and in the Shetland Grand national. In driven terms Elinor has competed over the years in single, pairs, teams, tandems, a unicorn, and a random. This year she secured the Supreme champion title, at the Shetland Pony Stud Book Society Breed show with her pair of ponies Clothie Night idiot and Clothie Humbell.
